Alert every two minutes of video

Hello, I need to have an alert each time the playback position of a movie is a multiple of 2 minutes (i.e. at 0h2m0s, at 0h4m0s, at 0h6m0s, etc.). This alert should be acoustic, like a "beep", for example, or a flash of the computer screen. Is it possible and how? I need this alert because I'm using VLC to transcribe the speech of a video and I have to put timestamps in the text. Thank you very much.

It should be possible with an audio filter to some extent.

It should be possible with an audio filter to some extent.
You mean that I could:

1) create an audio track containing a beep every two minutes, with the same length of the movie
2) extract the audio track from the movie and merge it with the beep track
3) create a new movie with the new audio track and the old video track

Is it right? It's not very easy since the file is 20 GigaBytes large... :?

EDIT: I read your answer again and I realized that you probably meant something different... Did you think about a particular audio filter that I could try out?

No. You'd need to write one.
