I have recently installed the most recent VLC on a new machine with windows 8.1, but everytime I open VLC it comes up in a low resolution (600 x 400 I think) as a result everything is rather pixalated, I have gone through all the menus I can find but cannot see anything that allow me to adjust the resolution and I have uninstalled it and reinstalled but it still comes out at low resolution, and it seems that everything else is at the normal 1920 x 1080.

Any thoughts??
