Goom visualization colors all wrong, too bright

This started happening several months ago, possibly even a year. I love the Goom visualization, but all of the sudden the colors would change to really bright hues, often completely overwhelmed by bright white. I hope a picture is worth a thousand words. Any advice would be appreciated.
