FTP input - meaning

Hi,

What is the significance or effect for the entries in the Advanced Preferences -> Input / Codecs -> Access modules -> FTP?
(FTP user name, FTP password, FTP account)

If I want to open a network stream, I must make this information in the Open Media Network dialog.

Thanks for a answer,
kodela

I can paraphrase the caption of those entries but that wouldn't really help.

Hi Rémi Denis-Courmont,

Please, can you give an example for entries in the Advanced Preferences -> Input / Codecs -> Access modules -> FTP?

They are user name (login), password and account name for the FTP connection. I can't really "define" them any better.

Hi Rémi Denis-Courmont,

thank you, I've found that the entries in the Advanced Preferences -> Input / Codecs -> Access modules -> FTP to open a FTP network stream replace the specified user name and password.

If, for example, in Advanced Preferences -> Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> FTP, the user name and password is registred the password and account must not input for the network URL.

ftp://username:password@my.account.de/img/testvideo.mp4

be registered, it is sufficient:

ftp://@my.account.de/img/testvideo.mp4
