How do I deactivate the remote control interface in VLC Player? A website I recently went to activated it and now I can't play any of my movie files on my computer.

If you can not access the graphical interface anymore, open a command-line window, go to the folder where you installed VLC and run "vlc -I qt".

If you can not access the graphical interface, open the command line, go to the folder in which you installed VLC and run "vlc -I qt" from.
I tried that and I got
'vlc' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Refer to the installation folder the executable file "vlc"?

If not, you need to install VLC again.

I fixed it by uninstalling VLC and downloaded a fresh copy.
