WebM Alpha Channel transparency

Postby Jenoki » 14 Sep 2014 21:37

I am having trouble using the convert option.

I attempt to convert my AVI file to WebM, but it does not retain the transparent alpha channel.

I was able to convert it to WebM using WebMConverter, and that kept the transparency.

Is there a way to do it in VLC?

Also, it seems VLC doesn't playback the alpha channel for WebM files either.

I'm using a plugin for Open Broadcast Software, which uses VLC to play back video files. The WebM files I play through that all lose their transparency. The AVI file plays back fine with the transparency though. Is this a problem with the plugin, or with VLC not playing back WebM transparency?

Thanks for the help!
