VLC Player Windows RT

Sorry if this is not this proper place to post this, but I didn't know where else to. When will VLC be available on the Microsoft Surface with Windows RT? I saw that it was supposed to be released in a 'couple weeks' way back in April, but I still do not see it available. It would be great to have on the Surface.
