Encoder VLC Off

Postby Canisan » 30 Jun 2014 05:18

Hi everyone!

I want to know how to disable the audio codec VLC, and let the HT to decode. Because the display always appears LPCM, and I want the correct codecs (DD, DTS, etc.) are displayed.

Sorry for my poor English

Depending on your OS, you need to enable S/PDIF passthrough in VLC audio preferences and/or in the OS sound settings.

First of all, thank you very much for responding !
I forgot to mention the following:

- S.O: Windows 8.1
- Audio for HDMI 1.4a (Laptop-->HT)

Already configured the OS with HT as speakers, i just need to know what should I check in VLC :?:

Can someone help me? I dont know what option disable (in VLC) to let the HT encode the audio codecs. :( The HT display show "LPCM" allways, but when i use WMP 12 the display show the correct codecs (DTS MA, etc)...because WMP12 dont encode anything... all the work do the HT device (HDMI).

P.D: Again, sorry for my por english. I hope you understand me! :P

Remi, thanks again for your time, but unfortunately did not solve the problem. :( (now the HT display showme DTS and DD, but not DTS HD and DD HD for example)
¿Do I need to enable/disable something else? :?: (remember it is for the HDMI port)

Kisses!
