VLC player not saving cover art correctly

So I have this new album but for some reason there's no album art to the file when I play it. When I right click and 'Download cover art', it pops up and everything so that's good. Here's the bad part. For some reason it's not saving the downloaded cover art. Every time I close the file/player and reopen it, cover art is gone.
