DVD skips to next chapter too early

Hello people,
When I watch some type of videos (DVD), the last 3-5 seconds of each chapter is ignored and it goes automatically to the next chapter. It's very frustrating to watch this since it skips brutally from one part of a video to 5 seconds after without notice.
How can I fix this?
