VLC Media Player Stops playing video at random times

Hello,

Recently, every time I go to watch a show, the video will start, all audio and video working properly, then at random times with random videos it just stops. I've reinstalled VLC already and have cleared the preference settings and cache. I dont know what else to do. The videos are also are all about 20 - 22 minuets long and VLC even states the length of the video after it stops playing it. Please help
