I searched up google but did not found any clue for this problem. I always watch fan-subbed anime in .mkv files, and it looks like the fansubbers like to use fancy effects, like covering large part of the image or using many motions. Sometimes they are so heavy the video freezes. I can still hear the audio repeating in the background but all I can do is to kill the vlc process.

I want to know if it is the vlc's problem or my PC is just too slow. The processor is AMD dual-core 2.00Ghz with 2 GB of ram.
