DVB-C switching channel takes very long

Hi there,
I use DVB-C with VLC version 2.1.4 on Linux.
I don´t know if this is a general VLC issue or Linux specific.
When I switch to another DVB-C channel it takes very long, maybe up to 15 or 20 seconds until the channel is on the display.
DVB-C is fine, audio is okay, video is okay. It is just the channel switching that takes ages. It happens with every channel, not with a specific one.
KDE kaffeine does not seem to show this behaviour.
VLC does not show any error messages.
Do you have any hints where to start debugging this issue?
