bug in playing MOV files created using iPhoto

VLC plays some MOV files just fine, but for MOVs created with Apple's iPhoto 4, VLC opens three identical windows, all playing the same movie. This is on a Dell Optiplex GX270 running Windows XP-SP2, and latest version of VLC.

An example of a file that triggers this problem can be found at:

Kind regards,

This mov file has 3 Tracks with jpeg. VLC open for every visual Track a new window.

Mplayer ( http://www.mplayerhq.hu ) plays the file well. [EDIT] Mplayer plays only the longest Track[/EDIT]

The same happens with mp4 files, with more than one visual(jpeg,video...) Track in VLC.

hum ... thats weird. VLC should only open one of the video tracks and let you chose which one you want. We definitively need to have a look at this problem.

Could some upload a file to ftp://vthr.videolan.org/pub/incoming/ so we can have a look at it? Please post the name of the file here then. Thanks.

The same problems can be observed with the digimax interactive samples from here: http://www.digimax.com.tw/MPEG4/download_sample_2.htm

Correct VLC currently doesn't support composited movies yet. It's quite difficult, if not impossible to support in VLC as well.
