I have a bunch of Quicktime movies that I am playing back in VLC. I have used Quicktime Pro to edit out the beginning and end of the clips. When I look at or playback the videos in VLC it ignores the edits and plays back the parts that I cut out. If I open the movie in Quicktime or import them into an editing program like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier or Avid Media Composer the videos do not display the parts I cut out.
So it seems like VLC is looking at the original file somehow before the edits were made even though I saved the edits in Quicktime and no other program can even see the parts cut out. Any thoughts on what is going on?
I am using VLC on Win 7 in a corporate environment and we need to use VLC for playback.
