vlc keeps disconnecting when playing streaming video

Hi, I am using vlc to play a streaming video and it keeps disconnecting randomly (I've tried it on multiple platforms), here's an excerpt from the end of log:

I understand that part of the problem might be due to unreliable connection, but are there things that I can do to avoid this constant disconnect behavior?
