I'm having difficulties to find (if there is one) a setting where fullscreen player/menu would appear "on click" and Volume up/down to be available without clicking first.

Reason: When watching a movie on my TV (connected through Laptop) I keep my mouse next to me, because it's used as a remote. Volume up/down on mouse wheel is a great feature. However, menu bar appearing every time I move even slightly on my couch is annoying. So, is it possible to make the bar appear on click, and to leave volume up/down work without clicking first?

Thanks Jean-Baptiste Kempf. Do you have a say in VLC coding/creating? ...So, you understand what I'm saying, right? Do you see it as a good/practical feature? ...And since it's not "user-set-able", should I post this in feature suggestion section, then?

Yes, VLC code must be done.

Sorry, I can't exactly conclude from your reply - Will the code be written for the next version, or I should move this thread to feature suggestion, or both?

YOu need to create a ticket on our trac bug report.

I hope this is what you meant by that. Never done this before, and don't understand all drop down menu selection options.

Still nothing? This feature would be great. I don't know why it still hasn't been considered. Many of us watch from the couch and use only mouse to control when needed. Even the slightest move activates the mouse and the menu pops up. However, turning the mouse every time off in order not to annoy is annoying.

Some reply would be appreciated. It's been almost two years so far. ticket #10381
