Trouble recording from youtube

Last august, I used VLC to record some audio from youtube videos. Everything went fine.

Today I tried to do it again, but all I get is empty files. I can play the clips just fine, just converting them doesn't seem to work. I also tried vimeo, with the same lack of result.

I restarted my computer, reinstalled VLC, no effect.

For clarity: I tried both CTRL-N and CTRL-R, and converting to H.264 , MP4, MP3 and .wav all did nothing, except making an empty file.

Apparantly I'm doing something wrong. Anybody got any ideas?

I had the same problem (VLC 2.0.2)

If I set "View" --> "Messages" or "Console" options, it works.
VLC tells me that my output file allready exist, even if it is a new file. I answer "Erase" and it's ok !

Sorry,
You have to do "Tools" (instead of "View") --> "Messages"
