Is there a way to permanently enable 'two pass' in the graphic equalizer? It makes the sound much better in my set up but it is annoying having to re enable it each time I open VLC

Hi,
select: Preferences - All - Audio - Filters - Equaliser with 10 bands
and
select: Preferences - All - Audio - Filters - Equaliser - Two pass
Finish the dialogue on the button "Save" and start the VLC new.

Hi Kodela
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using the latest Win 64 version of VLC. and the preferences window doesn't give exactly the same options that you describe, so below is what I've set:
Equaliser preset: Flat
Bands gain: --------
(ticked) Two Pass
(ticked) Use VLC frequency bands
Global gain : 12
But when I open the player I still have to go to Tools> Effects and Filters> Audio Effects> Graphic Equalizer> Enable.
So it is still not remembering the settings.

I can not get that setting to save since 1.1 , my guess is that it is not supported in portable mode.

I got a reply from someone at VLC. That person told me that it is by design that Two Pass cannot be permanently set. What an odd design feature that is!
