VLC 2.1.2 Installer issue

Minor thing,
but wish to report it nonetheless
- Launched VLC
- VLC reported an update
- clicked on download
- VLC crashed

- closed VLC
- downloaded and installed vlc-2.1.2-win32.exe
- launched vlc
=

- This time, I clicked on "No" (I donot know what it transmits)
- VLC Launched anyhow
