I have just installed latest version on a laptop for a friend who is in hospital for a few weeks and he knows very little about using a laptop so i want VLC to open at a certain location when he fires up VLC and hits "Media/Open File", I have looked through setting but from my POV I can't see anything?

It will get the last location opened.

OK thanks for that, it's a shame we can't specify our own folders but never mind many thanks for the reply.
