What kind of behavior from VLC player

Hi experts,
I use live555 to stream h.264 and vlc player to play back. I don't know why VLC player has a loading bar to appear 2 times. The first time happens at the beginning and the second time happens at around third or fourth second. After that it plays back fine. Anyone can tell me why?
