Bluray audio is not decoded

Hello,
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 and VLC 2.1.0 along with it. When I tried to play a Bluray disc I found that only video is working, while there is no audio output; DVDs are working fine, so are all other videos. SMPlayer does not have problems with the audio either, I also got MONOGRAM GraphStudio to play Bluray video and audio without problems. I installed the recent "ffdshow tryouts" codecs too, but that didn't help either.
The Bluray has 4 audio streams, the first two are DTS, the others are listed as "A52 Audio aka AC3"; those latter two do work fine. The VLC stats window shows zero blocks decoded when the DTS streams are selected for playback.
So it would appear I have the necessary codecs on my system but somehow VLC doesn't know about them or doesn't use them or the wrong ones?!
Thanks for any help!
