exporting old avi files

Postby jgm » 01 Nov 2013 17:54

I have old avi files from 2001. I can view the movies on VLC but am having trouble exporting them. I have tried all the various options in VLC and I usually end up with an error saying that the codec was not available or the file gets created but then doesn't play. I am using a Mac with latest OS and need to embed the movies in powerpoint. I have the latests VLC. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Greg McDaniel
