First 2 seconds of audio not heard

This happens on all my recordings.

Audacity plays the file just fine.
Ogg Speex audio (audio/x-speex+ogg)
(but also happens with FLAC)
Linux 13.10 64 bits but happens on my friends Windows 7 as well.
I tried adding "vlc://pause:2" but it didn't help.
