Multicast stream freezes after 3 mins

Hi,

I am having a wierd problem. I am trying to recceive a multicast stream from a server. Everything is fine until about 3 mins, when the stream freezes on my VLC (VLC media player 1.1.9 The Luggage (revision exported)) which I compiled on my machine a couple of years ago. This used to work fine before. To start the stream again, I need to reread the stream.

I found some other forums suggesting to increase the MMS and other cache. I have tried that with no success. I have gone through the wireshark IGMP JOIN message logs, which keep on being sent every minute to the server. I would be thankful for any help regarding this issue.
