Audio only coming through left channel.

I have some albums where, when a song from them plays, VLC sends the audio through the left channel only. I look in the 'audio' menu it it has only the left channel selected. I switch the output back to stereo and it sounds the way it's supposed to. If I restart the same song, it switches it self back to left channel only. You're breaking my heart, VLC. I have never ripped an album in mono.
