Can't find .hosts file
I'm trying to use a remote app for vlc but i can't seem to find the .hosts file .. using 32 bit vlc on 2.1.0

There is no .hosts file anymore; it is no longer needed.

No longer needed is subjective. This was functionality I was using on my home network. Now I can't control my vlc anymore because my remote control doesn't support passwords.
