By default VLC seems to play an Image for 10seconds, I want to make a playlist that includes videos and have the images play for 3seconds.

I tried this but it doesn't seem to work in VLC 2.0.8 http://www.chris-reilly.org/blog/techno ... -duration/

Has anyone got any idea how I could get this to work?

Use the preferences for the Images demuxer.

Hello, newbie to advanced VLC here, also wanting to alter the image duration. I don't know what "use the preferences for the images demuxer" means. I've been able to find that plugin within the VLC interface, and found its file. But I don't know how to alter it. Thanks.

Go to Menu -> Tools -> Preferences -> All -> Input Codecs -> Demuxer -> Image -> Duration in seconds
