Watch and Stream Video Verbatim

Hi.

If you open a network stream (File | Open Network Stream) of an HTTP file (http://server.com/file.avi or http://server.com/file.mp4 for example), is there any way to save the video to HD while watching it without encoding it?

I can watch and stream and encode, but I want to save the file on my HD so that it's exactly the same as the file on the HTTP server, i.e. CRC/MD5/SHA1 of both files match perfectly.

Can someone advise please?
