Using cue files for audio playback

Apologies if this has been answered...

I have created mp3 files from audio CDs - 1 mp3 file per disk + 1 cue file - using CDEX.

Can VLC access the individual tracks based on the cue file?

Yes it can, if the CUE file has been properly created you can select individual tracks in the playlist.
