Please help - audio problem *solved*

I mainly use VLC for video files, and I recently I have been watching a TV show where the pitch is off in the audio. The voices of people speaking sound too high, almost chipmunk-like. Is there any way to fix this in VLC without having to get a new video file?

After doing some research, I read that unchecking "enable time-stretching audio" would help...it did not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :D

Disabling time-stretching creates the chipmunk effect, not the other way around.

If the pitch is off at normal playback speed, then the problem lies with the video file.

Thank you! I have been trying to fix this for days. Guess I have no choice but to find a new file (or live with a 'chipmunks' reunion).

Much appreciated.
