When I click on an internet address to play a station from my VLC playlist, the station returns with related addresses that sometimes fill up the playlist page. Sky FM is one of the ones that come back and put 6 - 10 entrys or so, and this one filled up a couple of pages of playlist...

I've Googled it, checked through the VLC troubleshooting list, and either can't figure out the words to find it on search or no one but me has the problem.
Please tell me if you have the problem, even if you don't have a solution so I can determine if it caused by some other weird thing.
Thank you,
Bob
Using intel i3 PC with 64bit VLC 2.0.5 Xubuntu but had same problem on previous version

Download then open this PLS playlist file with a text editor and you'll see it has 24 entries, and that's exactly the number of lines being created when I open it with VLC. Everything is normal so far.

Thank you for your response!
That's right, and by what you are saying, I probably don't understand the process.
Here's my normal scenario....Since I had previously entered in my list of internet radio station addresses into the VLC playlist, I had hoped that when I wanted to use the internet radio, I could open up the VLC radio station playlist that I had made and select a station, click on it and enjoy. But now I need to sort through all of these extra entries on my much extended playlist. Since this doesn't happen with RadioTray, I thought there might be an option to exclude these extra address entries from showing up on the list.
Is that possible here? I don't understand why the station comes back with these 24 entries, and why they have to stay on my playlist, but then, I don't understand a lot of this process.
I have a question - is there an option to prevent those entries from ending up on the playlist?

I just found a way to eliminate the need to make a playlist of internet radio stations. I found out that I can just make a launcher for each station ie., command "vlc <internet radio address>" I am putting a graphic of each station as an icon and putting all the launchers in a folder call Internet Radio. Multiple entries come back, but none of the entries become part of a permanent playlist as I don't need one anymore.
This works perfect for my entertainment system.
Thank you, Lotesdelere for your help!
