Forcing VLC to use one of NICs

Postby Al Aw » 02 Aug 2005 20:56

I have multiple NICs on my system. I found that VLC seems to be looking at a default NIC and ignore all others. In order to get VLC working with a particular NIC I have to manually disable all other NICs.

Is there a way to get VLC to listen to all NICs at the same time ? If not, is there an easier way to specify the NIC to listen to without resorting to manually disabling all other NICs ?

Thanks,
Al

Use the --intf options or in the preferences/input/codec/advanced

Hi,

I have 2 NICs on my PC. I want to two diferent interfaces of VLC should take the streams from two different NICs.

Suppose:
There are two streams A and B.
I specify that the that stream A should go to NIC A and VLC should pick this stream from NIC A and start playing and Second interface of VLC should take the stream from NIC B.

Is there way to do this ?

Thanks,
Maninder
