10bit Format and Related

Postby max7238 » 28 May 2013 18:28

I am currently running the build labeled as "VLC media player 2.1.0-git-20120423-0005" and am able to play just about anything, I'm able to listen to podcasts (namely Leek Radio), and the player handles all subtitles and video formats very well. However, a later build, sometime in October or so, of that year would not support 10bit for some reason. My question is, as brief as I can be, does the current nightly build support all functions of the build I am using, and without odd breaks. I'd like to update, but I'm quite comfortable with running my current release so well. Never had a single issue.

You should update, and as we are in the 2.1.0 stabilization process, I doubt it will break.
