VLC for JVC adixxion instead of WiVideo?

I would like to use VLC to view streaming video from a JVC Adixxion Wifi camera.
The camera has modes to connect directly to a device or through a router.

However, as configured, it requires proprietary software, WiVideo, in order to connect.

Does anyone have advice on how to gain access to the device I purchased and now own??
