Hi,

How do I increase volume, add subtitles over the video, and convert avi to mp4?

I am not able to figure how to increase the volume to where the converted mp4 file's will be increased?

I go to media in the menu bar Convert / Save..., then I add the avi file to File Selection, then I add the srt file to Use a subtitles, and then I click convert.

I select Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4). Then I click the Edit select profile icon. In the Encapsulation tab MP4/MOV is selected. In the Video codec tab I have tried H-264 and MPEG-4 for Codec. I selected Audio codec in the audio tab. In the subtitles tab I select Subtitles, then DVB subtitle in the pull down, and then I select Overlay subtitles on the video.

I pick a Destination file and file name.

VLC player is converts the file to a ps instead of a MP4?

How do you know that is a .ps ?
In Win you can use mediainfo 0.7.62 for the best information, what you have got out.
You have to name your video output as blabla.mp4 !
I am using the VLC 2.0.3 twoflower (!). The 2.0.6 have no sound for mp4 from avi.
How you have got the srt? With DVdate_en ?

I have made what you have described. The output is very correct, within the subtitel.
But you have to tell the VLC-Player everytime to get out the subtitel per menu or per default and
there put in language "English".
