Transcoding Settings for DVB-S HD channels

Postby jdtego » 28 Feb 2013 13:02

Hi, I'm able to stream transcoded SD channels from my satelliet receiver but as soon as switch to HD channels the VLC reports:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

When I set the stream to audio only there is no problem. I can receive the audio ok on my PC.
I tryed different codecs but with no luck.

How can I troubleshoot further this problem and is it possible to do what I just explained?

TIA,
jdtego

undf means unknown. Are you sure the channels are not encrypted?

Yes. Open and perfect on TV during the tests .....and the same channels in SD are streamed and transcoded ok.
If it was an encryption issue I would not get the audio stream.....
Thanks

Either way, whatever codec is used is not supported in VLC.
