Multiple Subtitle Tracks in same Language

I'll try to keep this short - Videos I'm watching have 3 different subtitle tracks, and they all have the same language code ([English]). However, two of them don't show up for me when I select them.
Trying to figure out how to set the Preferences to select the one that does work, because setting the default isn't seeming to do the trick. I've tried putting the name of the subtitle setting into the default field (English Subtitles) and even put the full thing, including language code (English Subtitles - [English]) and didn't have any luck.

Depending on the file format, subtitle track can be advertised by the file without actually being present (it is the case in mkv).
