Image preview on videos

Hi,

I used to have image previews of video files earlier, that have not been lost.

VLC has been selected as the default payer.

I have attempted to uninstall VLC, clean registry with Ccleaner, reinstall VLC, update the latest version of VLC, select WMP as the default and then go back to VLC, but it has not returned the image preview.

Though this is purely cosmetic and does not affect the playing of the files, appearances are important.

I would like to know how to get the image preview back and more importantly how they are lost to avoid it
