OS Windows XP VCL version 0.8.2

When i install the new version and i try to stream from my tv tuner card i have this error

dshow debug: found device: Conexant Capture
dshow error: can't use device: Conexant Capture, unsupported device type
dshow error: can't open video

So should i go to previous version or go to by a new tv tuner card

p.s. sorry for my english i'm from bulgaria

I have pixelview x-capture pci card with cx23881 chipset
If I select capture mode in vlc-0.8.2 (and vlc-0.8.1 too) my comp crash and reboot
but all ok with vlc-0.8.0
