VLC 2.0.4 Update Crash

I've been attempting to update to the latest version of Vlc but it keeps crashing right when it downloads to the 100% mark. I've tried restarting my computer, it is still not working.
A ghost instance is still running in the background.
Reboot your computer and try again.
