How do I drop previous files?

Hi All,

VLC 2.0.4 for Linux.

I like to load certain file(s) to listen to. When they stop, I will load another file(s). Problem, after listening to the second or third, etc, VLC will go back and start playing files from my previous File, Open. (I can see the utility in this is I wanted to load files from different directories. But ...) The only way I have found to stop this behavior is to exit VLC. How do I get VLC to only play what I just loaded? How do I get VLC to drop previously loaded files? Is there some erase/reset and start over function? Is there a way to prune them?

Many thanks,
-T

Check the loop button (the one with A→B from View -> Advanced Controls) and press it as many times as needed for both the A and B to become back to black colour.

Hi Lotesdelere,

My loop button was off, but my "Random" button was on. You lead me right to the solution. Thank you!
