In what has become an even more interesting saga the file now does play.... sometimes
Ok I recently tried to play a url with gstreamer and it wasn't working (it just say at 0 seconds but said it was playing) but it played when I went to the website and used their flash applet so I then fired up wireshark captured the file that way (to make sure they weren't just sending a bad file or something) and captured the mp3 downloaded from the flash applet. I then edited out the details wireshark keeps using nano and saved it. I then tried to play it in mplayer and vlc; mplayer just quits vlc just kept repeating over and over in the messages windows "Overflow"..... then as I was about to write this post I loaded it into vlc (to get the exact error message) and it played.. sortof... you could tell what song it was but it was "clunky" and would have blips where it cut out. Note: I didn't change the file in between plays in vlc when it error with overflow and then kinda played
