iPhone video rotated 180º

I shot a video in landscape mode on my iPhone (the only proper video orientation for smartphone video, dammit). In QuickTime, and in preview (and, obviously, on my phone), the video is oriented properly. In VLC, however, it is 180º rotated. It's as though QT/Preview/etc. all are able to determine the orientation of the camera (which side was "up") when being shot, but VLC is not?

Is this a bug that needs fixing?

If this is "mac specific" then someone please let me know, but I don't have any other platform to test on, and it SEEMS like something that'd be just in the general code-base...

We are well aware of the bug but there has been no volunteers to address it so far.

Fair enough. I've got no dev skills whatsoever, so I'm of no help to you there. :-)

thanks,
