Im trying to play a Twin Peaks episode in vlc but the audio is stoping every 2 seconds and then plays again. I tried the file in other players and its ok. But my standard player is VLC and i want to play in that. Is it a codec problem or what? Anyway i have a screen of the file`s video and audio codecs, if that helps:

We need a sample of the original file.
Cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57724&p=193335#p193335
50 MB max should be enough.

And then upload it to either http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ or to EmbedUpload.com, the latter will upload the file for you to several other hosts and then post the link to the file here.

The file is playing fine with MPlayer and FFplay but not with VLC, and remuxing with MKVtoolnix didn't help.

You should create a new ticket on the VLC Trac with your messages logs and the links to your file and to this thread.

I'm looking at it but the file doesn't have obvious problems... the demux may not be the only responsible. I'd tend to also blame the audio core.
