This is stream that I am having an issue with.
I was able to extract that link from a .ram file from :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/speechanddr ... usseau.ram
The first problem that I have is that the audio for this file can only be heard through speakers connect to the optical out of my soundcard. The sound that comes out of the regular line out speakers are high pitch "scratches" that go along with the voices in the stream/file that can be heard through the optical out. Why is this?
All other sound and music and video can be played and heard through VLC without any issues through the regular speakers connected to the line out port of the soundcard.
I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium fatality soundcard Model# - SB0886
The second question is about the length of the stream. For some reason or another the stream stops playing in VLC at around the 2:41 mark. Why does it stop playing after 2 minutes? I even attempted to convert to a .ogg file and it worked up to that point. Even still when I played back the .ogg file, as well as an mp3 file I converted in VLC that stopped at the same mark, it STILL required to hear it through the speakers connected to the optical out!
