Is there a setting to make VLC remember previous state?

I just started using VLC to play MP3 files (VLC 2.01). Does anyone know if there's a way to make it return to its previous state like AIMP? For example, when you close and reopen, it remembers the playlist, song, if the track was plaing or paused, etc. I like VLC better overall, but that's one feature I can't seem to find. Anyone know?
