Change size of Closed Captions?

Hello. I'm new here.
I just found out that VLC shows closed captions much better than any other software i've used!!
I hadn't tried it before, I don't know if it is something that was done in the latest version.
Bravo!

But, i would like to ask:
Is it possible to change the size of the closed captions?
Because they're a kind of BIG, at least in the specific DVD I'm watching.

Are they closed captions or subtitles (look in the video menu)?

They are closed captions. The DVD hasn't got subtitles.
I know that subtitles can't be changed, because they are like photo files.

But does the same apply to closed captions?

No, close captions are text :)
You can change the font-size in preferences, in the OSD section.

I had changed it, but it didn't do anything.
Also, i just tried to change the color, but that doesn't change either..

edit: oooh, never mind!
I didn't know that you have to close VLC and reopen it for the changes to take effect.
Can't they change on the fly?

Probably not.
