English VLC missing ")"

Postby simon » 07 Jul 2005 22:39

Code: Select all

#: include/vlc_config_cat.h:171 msgid "" "Settings related to playlist behaviour (playback mode, for example) and to " "modules that automatically add items to the playlist ('service discovery " "modules'"
it's missing a ")" at the end, should look like this:

Code: Select all

#: include/vlc_config_cat.h:171 msgid "" "Settings related to playlist behaviour (playback mode, for example) and to " "modules that automatically add items to the playlist ('service discovery " "modules')"

but if you cange that, what happens with the current translations?

it's missing an "h" in the word, should look like this:
...
but if you change that, what happens with the current translations?

//simon
and I know what you meant from the context, right?

and if the current translations cange, it means another couple $20 rocks down again.

Yes of course
but I was curious on how that would affect the translations if a string like that was changed, would the translations have to be adapted?

all translations of that string whould be marked "fuzzy" and translators would need to review the translation (basically remove the "fuzzy" attribute)

Anyway, feel free to report any mistakes in the strings. We will fix them in the source-files and once the po-files are updated (next time after the Great Summer String Review), you would have to remove the fuzzy-flags and adapt your translations slightly, but I think that's worth the work.
